Research at TraitProfiler

TraitProfiler conducts independent psychometric research focused on the development, validation, and continuous improvement of personality screening tools. This research helps ensure that our psychometric instruments remain reliable, valid, and scientifically grounded.

Our research is based on anonymized data collected from users who voluntarily complete our screening tools. These data support data-driven scale construction, statistical validation, and reliability analysis.

By collecting large-scale anonymized test data through our platform, we are able to refine measurement accuracy, evaluate factor structures, and improve the overall quality of our assessment instruments.

How is data collected for research?

Data are collected anonymously from users who voluntarily complete TraitProfiler assessments. No personally identifiable information (such as names, exact addresses, or contact details) is included in research datasets.
Users are informed that their anonymized responses may be used for research and validation purposes.

What psychometric methods are used?

We use established psychometric techniques, including:
1. Item analysis
2. Internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha, McDonald’s omega)
3. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis
4. Test–retest reliability
5. Convergent and construct validity testing
These methods help ensure that our tools meet accepted standards of reliability and validity.

Can I use TraitProfiler data for my own research?

Yes. TraitProfiler supports open science. Our anonymized datasets are released under an open research license for academic and non-commercial use. We ask that users properly cite TraitProfiler when using our data in publications or projects.
